The remark made by Nick Easter recently on the fact that 35 thousand has gone down the toilet has stirred up quite a bit of controversies and most of the controversies have been initiated by the England team mates.
When asked, Nick did admit to the fact that he might have said it, but is against the fact that it had to be taken out of proportion.
The defeat of England against the French was terribly disappointing and Nick Easter says that he said everything in the changing room with a view to lighten up the moment. However the fact that this has been taken to such a far extent that it was leaked and also spoken about has come as quite a shock to Nick Easter. He just hopes that he might be able to put this comment back to its context so that there is no misunderstanding created and more so that he does not get rejected in to the new England squad.
However, he prefers making one point clear that even though this comment was made in alight hearted way, people taking it to such extremes just show that they are more interested in money here more than success. Welcome bonuses, signing offers keep coming but then no one should even think about stuff like this after a defeat.
A defeat should definitely be taken and dealt in a more mature manner as his is when people can understand and rectify their mistakes and perform better in the matches and tournaments to come. Also, Nick Easter wants to clear up all issues with the players who had a problem so that they would not create a problem in the near future and everything can work out smoothly for the team.
